2025 Year in Review

“Client expertise, great productions, new technology and astonishing results.”

In 2025 Stonehouse Media Incorporated produced websites, videos, animation and training modules that were distributed around the globe. We serve clients with many needs, but our clients four online learning networks on the SHM network platform ended with over 620,000 registered users and millions of hours of training delivered.

Stonehouse Media produces content for its clients serving emergency responders from all disciplines. We’re grateful for the trust our association, nonprofit, government, and corporate clients place in us to create training and education for the fire service, EMS, law enforcement, towing and recovery, and other emergency responders, as well as the public. It was an incredibly busy year! Let’s look at some highlights.

Here is a sampling of our work last year:

CFITrainer.Net Fire Hero Learning Network FM Fire Service Learning Network Responder Safety Learning Network

We created a new training format for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation called Interactive Case Stories. They meld narrative text, video, audio, photos, animation, and interactivity to take you inside a line-of-duty death or close call and spotlight the lessons learned.

Our specialization in supporting Associations by integrating their website with their association management package and their online training was showcased with the launch of the new FireArson.com. When IAAI Members log in through single sign on, they have dashboard access to their Membership portal, training progress, all Association information, and data pulled from the association management software to display training classes, open jobs, and more.

The Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) accredited the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association Emergency Responder Safety Institute to offer online training in roadway incident response safety and traffic incident management for EMS. We implemented a rigorous and detailed set of CAPCE requirements to enable CVVFA ERSI to deliver this accredited training through the Responder Safety Learning Network.

Several ongoing, multi-year projects include numerous podcast episodes for CFITrainer.Net and ResponderSafety.com that bring in thousands of listeners each month, new public education PSAs and videos in distracted driving and roadway safety for the ERSI and the National Volunteer Fire Council, and more of the extremely popular Roadway Safety Shorts perfect for roll call and training breaks.

We continued to enhance the Stonehouse Media Online Learning Network that is the platform for the emergency responder training we develop. Features we added in 2025 include:

  • Instructor Mode to enable instructors to use modules in their classes
  • Meetings program type for non-credit contributions to an Association
  • Program refresh to meet yearly refresher training requirements
  • Integration with association management packages for membership verification
  • Specialized reporting for advanced usage statistics
  • Vetted bypassing of requirements when comparable training was completed elsewhere
  • Two-factor authentication
  • Subtopics and weighting for training completion tests
  • Keyword searching and topic sequencing of available training modules

Looking toward 2026, we have a full slate of new releases that will give emergency services more tools to operate safely and deliver high quality service to the public. A project that we are particularly excited about will be released soon that includes a two-module documentary that highlights a case study with important lessons for the profession and a new online learning model with the potential to transform how training is experienced remotely. We’ll see you along the journey. Have a healthy and rewarding year.
