Fire investigators need to follow a systematic approach or scientific method. These fire service and law enforcement people are in demanding situations and often need to use complex calculations to either rule out the cause of a fire or confirm or test their hypothesis. Stonehouse Media Incorporated® worked with leading scientists in the field from the IAAI to create a quick access calculator that can be used on a mobile phone, a PDA or a laptop. The program has been updated and distributed online. Stonehouse Media also produced an online webinar for the International Association of Arson Investigators so that the use of the calculator could be taught worldwide.
