Case Study: Forward Edge
Computers and electronic equipment are used to commit crime every day. Because of
their expertise, the U.S. Secret Service works with local, state and federal law
enforcement authorities to combat electronic crime. In their constant effort to
share information with those they work with, the Secret Service contracted Stonehouse
Media to create "Forward Edge", an interactive, computer-based training tool. Forward
Edge employs virtual reality, video, and three scenarios to teach the user how to
properly identify and seize electronic evidence. Forward Edge also includes an extensive
Field Guide with hundreds of pages of documents on e-crime laws in all 50 states,
a guide to spotting counterfeit notes, and forms for cataloging and submitting evidence.
Forward Edge was distributed to law enforcement and Fortune 500 corporations around
the country.
