Case Study: CFITrainer.net

CFITrainer.net is a distance learning system providing high quality, cost effective training to fire investigators. This online network is designed to take advantage of the Internet so that fire investigators can participate in the training programs from their office or home computers. The first live Webinar had 200 registrations. Participants were able to view the presenter’s slides, download program materials and actively participate in the presentation. They asked questions, responded to surveys and took a test in order to download a certificate of participation and earn credits. This presentation is now available as an online training program. As are many other courses which are being produced utilizing video, graphics, animation, virtual reality and audio.
